We have a volunteer opportunity ready for you. Our volunteer opportunities span the Kennett Consolidated School District. Find one that fits your schedule and choose a weekly, monthly or one-time session. Partner with a teacher and student to practice literacy or math skills or help at a school event such as the career fair. Many volunteers share one hour each week and say they get back more than they give. Please note that all of our volunteers who work with children on a regular basis need background clearances. IN-CLASS VOLUNTEERING

Mentoring: Work with an elementary school student or a middle school student to help with school work and build a mentor/mentee relationship. Spend time at school during lunch, help with homework or arrange time before or after school with permission from teachers and parents.
MENTORING
In-Class Volunteering: Practice makes perfect and reading and math require a lot of practice! Volunteers spend about 1 hour per week and focus on reading or math skills with individual students or in small groups. Our teachers say our volunteers make a difference by joining together for education.
